Scott Wood is one of the most creative people I know. Moving from medium to medium, he consistently executes what he does with phenomenal ability. His most recent expression has been creating bronze sculptures of life-like aquatic insects and other subjects... Don’t even get me started on how cool it is! Working with someone like Scott is a lot of fun. His shop is filled with curiosities and interesting things to explore. His perspective on art and his life as an artist is reassuring and modest. Oh and working off and on as a Digital Artist, Photo Director and Art Director for several decades doesn’t hurt either.

For me, this falls into my Archive of the Analog project. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate medium to document and to record. Seeing Scott work and all the different steps it takes to create something in such a way is truly remarkable. The detail and the craftsmanship that’s involved are truly hard to appreciate unless you witness it…and that’s just part of it. Things like this need to be witnessed. You need to see the hands make something like this to begin to understand how to yourself. I was so fortunate to be able to watch.
